(Interstat) — The Marshall Thundering Herd will look to solidify its standing and complete a regular-season sweep when it hosts the Old Dominion Monarchs in a Sun Belt Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday at Cam Henderson Center. Marshall (18-11) enters the matchup with momentum from a strong February, having won five of its last seven games. The Thundering Herd edged Old Dominion 81-79 in Norfolk just two weeks ago on Feb. 11, a game that figures to provide motivation for both sides. The Herd is led by dynamic guard Jalen Speer, who is coming off a spectacular 39-point performance in a narrow loss at Coastal Carolina on Saturday. In the first meeting against Old Dominion, Speer posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists, playing all 40 minutes. His backcourt play will be central to Marshall’s offensive plans.
