Preview: George Washington at La Salle PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) β George Washington looks to solidify its position in the Atlantic 10 standings when it visits struggling La Salle on Tuesday night at Tom Gola Arena. The Revolutionaries (15-12, 7-7 A-10) enter on the heels of an 89-75 road loss to VCU last Tuesday but had won two straight prior. They will rely on forward Luke Hunger, who is averaging 21.4 points over his last five games. He scored 24 in the loss to the Rams and had a 31-point performance in a win over George Mason on Feb. 13. The Explorers (8-19, 4-10) snapped a five-game skid with a 59-46 home victory over Rhode Island last Saturday. Forward Rob Dockery powered that win with 19 points and 15 rebounds. He has been a bright spot, averaging a double-double in his last three contests. George Washington won the seasonβs first meeting decisively, 77-55, in Washington on Jan. 3. The Revolutionaries have lost three of their last four road games, however, with each defeat by four points or fewer. La Salle, despite its record, has shown resilience at home, including a win over then-conference leader Dayton last month. Containing Hunger will be a primary challenge for a defense that allows an average of 70.2 points per game. For George Washington, a win is crucial to maintain momentum ahead of a key Friday night home matchup against Dayton. La Salle seeks to build on its recent defensive success after holding Rhode Island to 46 points. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
