Preview: Duke at Notre Dame SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Interstat) — The second-ranked Duke Blue Devils, riding a six-game winning streak, visit the Joyce Center on Tuesday to face a Notre Dame team looking to play spoiler in Atlantic Coast Conference play. Duke (25-2, 14-1 ACC) has established itself as a national title contender, with its only losses coming by a combined six points. The Blue Devils are coming off a 68-63 home win over Michigan on Saturday, a game in which star forward Cameron Boozer led the way with 18 points and seven assists. Boozer, a sophomore, has been consistently dominant. He is averaging 20.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists over his last eight games, including a 24-point performance in Duke’s narrow road loss to North Carolina earlier this month. Notre Dame (12-15, 4-11) has struggled for consistency, losing eight of its last 11. The Fighting Irish fell 73-68 at Pittsburgh on Saturday despite a strong 12-point, eight-rebound effort from guard Logan Imes. Imes has shown flashes, posting 14 points and nine rebounds in a win over Georgia Tech on Feb. 14, but the Irish will need a complete team performance to challenge the Blue Devils. The matchup pits one of the nation’s most efficient offenses against a Notre Dame defense that has allowed 80 or more points in seven games this season. Duke leads the ACC in scoring margin, outscoring opponents by an average of 19.1 points. History heavily favors the visitors. Duke has won 10 of the last 11 meetings in the series, including an 83-52 victory in Durham on Jan. 26. In that game, Boozer scored 19 points in just 30 minutes. For Notre Dame, the path to an upset likely requires controlling the tempo and finding scoring beyond Imes and forward Carson Towt, who had 13 rebounds against Pittsburgh. The Irish are 9-5 at home this season. Duke continues its pursuit of the ACC regular-season title before a looming rematch with North Carolina on March 7. Notre Dame aims to regroup before hosting NC State on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
