DELAND, Fla. (Interstat) — Two ASUN Conference men’s basketball teams seeking momentum will meet Saturday when the Stetson Hatters host the North Florida Ospreys at Edmunds Center. The Hatters (9-18) narrowly defeated the Ospreys (6-21) 84-77 in Jacksonville on Jan. 29. Stetson has lost four of its last five games since that victory, including a 78-76 road loss to Florida Gulf Coast on Feb. 14. North Florida has dropped five of its last six, most recently a 63-56 defeat at Jacksonville on the same date. A key rematch will be in the backcourt, where North Florida’s Kent Jackson and Stetson’s Collin Kuhl are coming off dominant performances. Jackson scored 20 points in the first meeting against Stetson and is averaging 20.1 points over his last seven games. He posted 15 points and nine rebounds against Jacksonville last Saturday. Kuhl powered Stetson to its January win over North Florida with 23 points. He is fresh off a career-high 28-point, 12-rebound double-double in the loss to FGCU, showcasing his ability to take over a game. Both teams have struggled defensively, setting the stage for a potentially high-scoring affair. North Florida allows 84.2 points per game, while Stetson yields 81.2. The Ospreys will need to find answers for Kuhl and contain a Hatters offense that shot efficiently in the first matchup. Stetson must counter Jackson’s scoring prowess and improve its ball security after recent close losses. The game tips off at 7 p.m. EST on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026.
