The Cougars aim to rebound from a narrow 81-76 home loss to Tennessee-Martin on Feb. 14, which snapped a four-game winning streak. They will lean on guard Tyler King, who has been on a scoring tear. King poured in 27 points in that loss and is averaging 20.1 points over his last seven games, including a 24-point performance in just 15 minutes at Morehead State on Jan. 29. Tennessee State also looks to bounce back after a high-scoring 94-86 road defeat at Morehead State on Feb. 14. The Tigers’ offense is powered by guard Travis Harper, who scored 30 points in that loss and has eclipsed 30 points twice in his last five games. Harper averages 22.1 points over that stretch. The game features two of the conference’s top scorers in King and Harper, setting the stage for a critical backcourt battle. SIUE has shown resilience on the road recently, winning three of its last four away games. Tennessee State has been strong at home, winning four of its last five at the Gentry Complex.
