Preview: Marist at Manhattan, Feb. 20, 2026 RIVERDALE, N.Y. (Interstat) — A pair of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men’s basketball teams heading in opposite directions will meet Friday night when the Marist Red Foxes visit the Manhattan Jaspers at Draddy Gymnasium. Marist (16-10) looks to halt a three-game skid, including a 63-67 home loss to Siena on Sunday. The Red Foxes had previously won four of five to position themselves near the top of the MAAC standings. Manhattan (12-16), meanwhile, has found momentum with three consecutive victories, most recently a 69-65 road win at Canisius. The Jaspers will rely on the hot hand of guard Jaden Winston. Over the team’s winning streak, Winston is averaging 20 points and 3.7 assists per game, including a 21-point effort in a win at Niagara. His playmaking was on full display last month with a 16-point, 10-assist double-double in a win over Rider. For Marist, forward Jason Schofield is a key figure. He is coming off a strong 13-point, 7-rebound performance in the loss to Siena and has scored in double figures in five of his last eight games. His versatility as a scorer and shot-blocker will be critical against a surging Manhattan offense. The teams’ first meeting this season resulted in an 80-68 Marist victory at home on Dec. 7. The Red Foxes will aim to sweep the regular-season series, but must improve an offense that managed just 56 points in a loss at Merrimack last week. Manhattan’s defense, which allowed 95 points to Rider in late January, has tightened during its win streak, conceding an average of 68 points over the last three. Friday’s contest is the first of two remaining home games for Manhattan this season. Marist continues a challenging stretch of its conference schedule, seeking to right the ship before hosting Sacred Heart on Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
