FAIRBORN, Ohio (Interstat) — The Wright State Raiders, riding a potent offense, will look to solidify their standing in the Horizon League when they host the struggling IU Indy Jaguars on Thursday afternoon at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. The Raiders (17-10) enter the matchup after a high-scoring 102-90 road victory at Cleveland State on Sunday. Guard TJ Burch led the charge with 23 points and eight assists, continuing a strong stretch where he has averaged 15.4 points over his last seven games. Wright State’s offense has been a consistent strength, surpassing 80 points in 14 games this season. They face an IU Indy team (7-21) mired in a difficult season, though the Jaguars have shown recent flashes. They are coming off a narrow 83-78 road loss at Purdue Fort Wayne, where forward Jaxon Edwards posted a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Edwards has been a bright spot, averaging 14.7 points and 7.4 rebounds over his last seven contests. Wright State won the first meeting this season, 81-77 in Indianapolis on Jan. 4. To spring the road upset, the Jaguars will need to find a defensive answer for the Raiders’ balanced attack, which saw Alex Bruskotter score 25 and Michael Imariagbe add a double-double in their last outing. For IU Indy, containing Burch’s playmaking and improving on a 1-9 road record will be paramount. Wright State, meanwhile, aims to protect its home court (10-3) and build momentum for the final stretch of the conference schedule. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST Thursday in Fairborn.
