DETROIT (Interstat) — The Detroit Titans defeated the Youngstown State Penguins 76-70 in a Horizon League men’s basketball game Sunday at Calihan Hall. Detroit led 37-29 at halftime and held off a second-half push from the Penguins. The Titans capitalized on turnovers, scoring 22 points off them compared to just five for Youngstown State. Tyler Spratt led Detroit with 15 points and nine rebounds. Rontavious Blackshear scored a game-high 22 points for Youngstown State. Attendance was 1,111. With the win, Detroit improved to 12-13 overall. Youngstown State fell to 13-13.
