Houston Christian (8-17) looks to snap a four-game skid, most recently a 73-69 road loss to McNeese State. Guard Demari Williams has been a bright spot, leading the team with 16 points in the McNeese State game and averaging 15.3 points per game over the same eight-game span referenced for Buckley. This matchup is a rematch of a Dec. 6 meeting, which Houston Christian won 85-76 in New Orleans. The Huskies will aim to replicate that result and complete a season sweep. For New Orleans, finding secondary scoring behind Buckley will be key. Tavaj Cope (16 points) and Coleton Benson (18 points) provided crucial support in the overtime win. Houston Christian will rely on Williams and D’Aundre Samuels, who added 15 points in the last outing. Both teams are looking to improve their positioning ahead of the Southland Conference tournament.
