He scored 40 points in a win over Georgia Tech on Feb. 7 and followed with 22 points and five assists against Boston College. Over his last seven games, Okorie is averaging 21.1 points. Wake Forest (12-12) evened its record with an 83-67 victory at Georgia Tech on Wednesday. The Demon Deacons’ performance was fueled by guard Mekhi Mason’s season-high 17 points and four assists, alongside 23 points from Juke Harris. Mason’s role has fluctuated; his 26 minutes against Georgia Tech marked a season high after playing 20 or fewer in five of the previous six contests. Consistency from the backcourt will be key for a Wake Forest team seeking its first consecutive wins since late December. Stanford’s recent success has featured balanced support for Okorie. Guard Benny Gealer added 21 points against Boston College. The Cardinal will test a Wake Forest defense that allows 78.5 points per game in ACC play.
