Preview: Morgan State Bears at South Carolina State Bulldogs ORANGEBURG, S.C. (Interstat) — Two Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference teams heading in opposite directions will meet Saturday when the Morgan State Bears visit the South Carolina State Bulldogs at SHM Memorial Center. Morgan State (10-13) enters on a season-best five-game winning streak, its most recent a 79-71 victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Feb. 7. The Bears’ surge began with a 72-67 home win over these same Bulldogs on Jan. 10. South Carolina State (6-17), meanwhile, has lost three of its last four, including an 85-57 road loss to Howard on Feb. 7. The Bears are led by forward Marland Harris, who is coming off a dominant double-double performance with 17 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in 34 minutes against Maryland-Eastern Shore. During the winning streak, Harris has been a defensive anchor, recording multiple blocks in five of the six contests. The Bulldogs will counter with forward Derwin Hodge, who leads the team in blocks. He posted four blocks and three assists in the loss to Howard. Hodge had two points in the January meeting with Morgan State. Morgan State’s recent success has been a team effort. In the win over Maryland-Eastern Shore, guard Alfred Worrell scored a game-high 24 points, while Elijah Davis nearly notched a triple-double with 11 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. South Carolina State’s last win was a 63-54 home victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Feb. 4, where Noah Treadwell led the way with 13 points. The Bulldogs will look to protect their home court and split the season series, while the Bears aim to extend their streak and improve their conference standing. Tip-off is set for Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026.
