Preview: Miami Visits NC State in Key ACC Clash RALEIGH, N.C. (Interstat) ā Two of the Atlantic Coast Conferenceās hottest teams meet Saturday when the Miami Hurricanes visit the North Carolina State Wolfpack at Lenovo Center. The Hurricanes (19-5, 10-3 ACC) arrive having won eight of their last 10, including an impressive 75-66 home victory over then-North Carolina on Tuesday. Miami is powered by forward Malik Reneau, who is averaging 19.1 points over his last seven games. He scored 23 points with eight rebounds in a win at Boston College on Feb. 7 and posted a 20-point, 11-rebound, five-assist effort at Syracuse on Jan. 24. The Wolfpack (18-7, 9-4), winners of six of their last eight, look to rebound from a disappointing 118-77 road loss at Louisville on Monday. Prior to that, they had won five straight, fueled by forward Ven-Allen Lubin. He has scored in double figures in nine consecutive games, including a 22-point performance in an overtime win at Clemson on Jan. 20 and a 17-point, 12-rebound outing at Pittsburgh. This matchup features two of the leagueās top interior players in Reneau and Lubin, and could have significant implications for ACC Tournament seeding. Miami currently sits in second place, just a half-game ahead of third-place NC State. The Wolfpack have been installed as a 5.5-point favorite by FanDuel Sportsbook, with an over/under of 156.5 points. NC State holds a 15-14 edge in the all-time series, but Miami has won three of the last five meetings. Both teams face quick turnarounds after this Valentineās Day showdown. Miami hosts Virginia Tech on Tuesday, while NC State prepares for a rivalry game at home against North Carolina on the same night.
