Idaho, Idaho State Set for Big Sky Rematch on Valentineās Day CALDWELL, Idaho (Interstat) ā The Idaho Vandals will host the Idaho State Bengals in a menās NCAA Division I basketball rematch on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at Idaho Central Credit Union Arena. The Big Sky Conference contest comes exactly one month after Idaho State (10-15) defeated Idaho (13-11) 76-68 in Pocatello on Jan. 15. The Vandals will look to avenge that loss and improve their conference standing, while the Bengals aim to complete a regular-season sweep. Idaho State enters on a seven-game losing skid, most recently falling 69-61 to Northern Colorado on Feb. 7. The Vandals have lost three straight, including a 73-68 defeat at Montana on Feb. 7. A key matchup will feature two of the leagueās top guards. Idaho Stateās Connor Hollenbeck has been a bright spot during the slump, averaging 17.1 points over his last seven games. He scored 27 points in a narrow loss at Weber State on Jan. 31 and 23 against Northern Arizona on Feb. 5. Idaho will counter with Biko Johnson, who is coming off a 22-point performance at Montana. Johnson has been a consistent scorer for the Vandals, including a 26-point outing in a win at Weber State on Jan. 17. The Vandals hold the better overall record and will have the home-court advantage in Caldwell. Idahoās offense, which put up 86 points in a win over Sacramento State on Jan. 22, will test an Idaho State defense that has allowed an average of 77.1 points during its losing streak. Conversely, the Bengals will rely on Hollenbeckās scoring punch and the confidence from their January win to try and snap their prolonged slide. The outcome could significantly impact seeding for the upcoming Big Sky tournament. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. PST. Following this game, Idaho will travel to face Portland State on Feb. 19, while Idaho State hosts Montana on the same date.
