SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Interstat) — A West Coast Conference heavyweight clash with major postseason implications is set for Saturday when the Gonzaga Bulldogs visit the Santa Clara Broncos at Leavey Center. Gonzaga (24-2, 11-1 WCC), which has won nine of its last 10, enters with the conference’s top spot in sight. Santa Clara (22-5, 10-2), riding an eight-game winning streak, aims to avenge an 89-77 loss in Spokane on Jan. 8 and tighten the league race. The matchup features two of the nation’s most efficient offenses, but the spotlight will be on a marquee frontcourt battle. Gonzaga’s dominance flows through forward Graham Ike, who is averaging 27.3 points over his last four games, including a 35-point outburst at Oregon State on Feb. 7. His physical post play will be central to the Bulldogs’ attack. The Broncos counter with versatile forward Allen Graves, a key driver of their surge. Over the last seven games, Graves has provided consistent scoring, playmaking and defensive activity, highlighted by a 30-point, 4-assist performance in a road win at Washington State on Feb. 7. His ability to stretch the floor and facilitate will be crucial against Gonzaga’s defense. According to National Statistical’s ELO system, Gonzaga is projected with a 71.2% probability to win. However, the Leavey Center has been a fortress for Santa Clara, which is 13-0 at home this season. The Broncos’ last home loss to Gonzaga was in 2021. A Santa Clara victory would forge a virtual tie atop the WCC standings, applying immense pressure on the Bulldogs’ final stretch. A Gonzaga win would solidify its control of the conference and bolster its case for a high NCAA tournament seed. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. PST tipoff on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026.
