Preview: Bucknell Bison at Boston University Terriers BOSTON (Interstat) — Two Patriot League teams seeking momentum will meet Saturday when the Boston University Terriers host the Bucknell Bison at Agganis Arena. The matchup is a quick rematch of a double-overtime thriller from Jan. 31, when Bucknell (8-18) outlasted Boston University (11-15) 103-97 in Lewisburg. The Bison will look to replicate that result and snap a two-game skid, while the Terriers aim to continue a recent surge that has seen them win three of their last four contests. Bucknell guard Jayden Williams was instrumental in the first meeting, logging 49 minutes with seven points, five rebounds and eight assists. Over his last eight games, Williams is averaging 9.5 points and 4.6 assists while playing heavy minutes. He will be a key facilitator for a Bison squad that has struggled offensively in its last two outings, scoring just 59 and 60 points in losses to Colgate and Navy, respectively. The Terriers counter with forward Ben Defty, who is coming off a season-high 24-point performance in an 85-68 road win at Army on Wednesday. Defty recorded a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds) in the loss at Bucknell last month. His recent play has been a catalyst for Boston University’s improved form. Boston University holds a slight edge in the conference standings and will have the benefit of playing at home, where they are 7-5 this season. Bucknell is 3-10 on the road. Both teams are in the bottom half of the Patriot League and will be jockeying for position ahead of the conference tournament. The game tips off at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026. Following this contest, Boston University hosts Colgate on Monday, while Bucknell returns home to face American on Wednesday.
