Preview of Saturdayâs Ivy League Menâs Basketball Game HANOVER, N.H. (Interstat) â Dartmouth looks to complete a regular-season sweep and solidify its position in the Ivy League standings when it hosts Brown on Saturday at Leede Arena. The Big Green (10-11, 3-4 Ivy) edged the Bears (6-14, 1-6) 77-70 in overtime in Providence just two weeks ago on Jan. 31. Dartmouth guard Jayden Williams scored 10 points and had two blocks in that victory. He is coming off a 19-point performance in a loss to Harvard last Saturday and has averaged 15.3 points over his last three games. Brown, mired in a five-game losing streak, seeks revenge and a crucial conference road win. The Bears are led by guard Jeremiah Jenkins, who dished six assists in the first meeting with Dartmouth. Jenkins has been a consistent facilitator, averaging 5.6 assists over his last five contests, including a nine-assist outing in a Jan. 17 overtime win over Columbia. Both teams are looking to rebound from double-digit losses last weekend. Dartmouth fell 71-58 to Harvard, while Brown lost 81-69 at Yale. In that game, Brownâs Luke Paragon led the team with 15 points. Dartmouth holds a winning record at home this season (7-4), while Brown has struggled on the road, winning just one of nine games away from Providence. A key matchup will be in the backcourt between Dartmouthâs Williams and Brownâs Jenkins. The Big Green will also rely on Brandon Mitchell-Day, who scored 14 points against Harvard. For Brown, finding secondary scoring behind Jenkins will be critical; Malcolm Wrisby-Jefferson (11 points vs. Yale) and Paragon will need to contribute. With the Ivy League tournament picture taking shape, Dartmouth aims to stay in the hunt for a top-four seed, while Brown desperately needs a conference win to keep its fading hopes alive. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Feb. 14. Following this game, Dartmouth will travel to face Columbia on Feb. 21, while Brown hosts Princeton on Feb. 20.
