Preview: VCU Rams at La Salle Explorers PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — A surging VCU squad will look to extend its winning streak against a struggling La Salle team when the Atlantic 10 Conference rivals meet Wednesday night at Tom Gola Arena. The Rams (18-6) enter on a seven-game winning streak, their latest a dominant 99-73 victory over Dayton last Friday. VCU has not lost since Jan. 10 and sits near the top of the conference standings. The Explorers (7-17), meanwhile, have lost four of their last five, including an 82-58 defeat at Saint Louis on Saturday. VCU’s offense has been potent during its run, averaging 81.1 points per game over the streak. A key catalyst has been guard Jadrian Tracey, who is coming off a career-high 26-point performance against Dayton. Over his last seven games, Tracey is averaging 12.6 points and has scored in double figures four times. La Salle will counter with forward Rob Dockery, who has been a bright spot in a difficult season. Dockery is averaging 14.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists over his last seven contests. He posted a 26-point, 14-rebound effort in a loss to Saint Joseph’s on Jan. 31 and nearly had a triple-double with 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists against Saint Louis. The Rams have dominated the recent series, winning the last five meetings. In their most recent matchup last season, VCU defeated La Salle 71-65 on Feb. 28, 2025. For VCU, the game is a chance to maintain momentum ahead of a critical weekend home-and-home series with Richmond. For La Salle, it represents an opportunity to play spoiler and find a signature conference win at home. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST Wednesday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
