Preview: Providence Looks to Build Momentum at Seton Hall NEWARK, N.J. (Interstat) β The Seton Hall Pirates aim to solidify their NCAA tournament resume while the visiting Providence Friars seek to build on a rare winning streak when the Big East foes meet Wednesday night at Prudential Center. Seton Hall (16-8) enters the contest looking to rebound from a pair of narrow road losses. The Pirates fell 69-68 at Creighton last Saturday and 72-60 at Villanova on Feb. 4. Their offense has frequently run through guard Adam Clark, who is averaging 18.3 points over his last four games, including a 20-point effort in the loss to the Bluejays. Providence (11-13) has won two straight, including a 90-72 home victory over DePaul last Saturday. The Friars also defeated Butler 97-87 in double-overtime on Feb. 4. Their recent surge has been fueled by improved play from freshman forward Oswin Erhunmwunse, who recorded a double-double with 10 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks against DePaul. In his last seven games, Erhunmwunse has blocked three or more shots four times. The Friarsβ offense showed balance in the win over DePaul, with Jason Edwards scoring 25 points and Ryan Mela adding 16 points and eight rebounds. In the first meeting this season, Seton Hall won 72-67 at Providence on Dec. 19, 2025. The Pirates have held their last three opponents under 70 points. For Providence, continuing its recent offensive efficiency will be key. The Friars have scored 90 or more points in three of their last five games after reaching that mark only three times in their first 19 contests. Seton Hall holds a significant advantage in the conference standings and will look to protect its home court, where it is 11-3 this season. Providence is 2-7 in true road games. The game is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. tip-off on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026.
