Ole Miss (11-12, 2-8) seeks to halt a five-game losing streak, its most recent a 79-68 defeat at Texas. The Rebels have struggled offensively during the skid, failing to reach 70 points in four of those losses. A bright spot for the Rebels has been the recent emergence of forward Eduardo Klafke. After limited minutes earlier in conference play, Klafke has seen an expanded role, logging 28 minutes and scoring 16 points with six rebounds against Texas. Alabama won the season’s first meeting, 97-82, in Tuscaloosa on Jan. 13 behind Philon’s 32 points. The Rebels will need a stronger defensive effort to avoid a season sweep. The matchup features a stark contrast in momentum. Alabama has won four of its last five to solidify its NCAA tournament resume, while Ole Miss is trying to salvage its season with an upset at home, where it is 9-4 this year.
