Preview: Colorado State Looks to Extend Falcons’ Woes in Mountain West Clash AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (Interstat) — The Colorado State Rams visit Clune Arena on Tuesday afternoon to face the struggling Air Force Falcons in a Mountain West Conference men’s basketball matchup. The Rams (13-10) enter on a modest uptick, having snapped a five-game losing streak with a 65-57 home win over San Jose State on Saturday. They will look to build momentum against a Falcons squad mired in a 13-game skid. Air Force (3-20) has not won since Dec. 23 and is coming off an 88-54 home loss to San Diego State. Colorado State guard Jevin Muniz is a key player to watch. He led the Rams with 15 points and five assists in the win over San Jose State, and he averaged 13.4 points and 5.1 assists over his last seven games. In the teams’ first meeting this season, a Jan. 20 contest in Fort Collins, the Rams dominated in an 81-52 victory. Muniz contributed seven points and four assists in that win. Air Force will counter with guard Kam Sanders, who has been a consistent performer during the difficult stretch. He scored 11 points in the first matchup against Colorado State and is averaging 9.9 points and 4.0 assists over his last seven games. The Falcons have struggled mightily on both ends of the floor during their losing streak, suffering several lopsided defeats. They will need a significant defensive improvement to contain a Colorado State offense that found its rhythm last outing. The Rams, meanwhile, will aim to avoid a letdown against a conference opponent they handled decisively just three weeks ago. Tuesday’s game is scheduled for a 9 p.m. EST tipoff. Following this contest, Colorado State will host Wyoming on Saturday, while Air Force travels to face Fresno State.
