LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Interstat) — Two ASUN Conference men’s basketball teams seeking momentum will meet Thursday when the Bellarmine Knights host the Stetson Hatters at Knights Hall. The Knights (9-13) enter on a two-game winning streak after a 78-75 victory over Queens (N.C.) on Saturday. Jack Karasinski led the way with 18 points and has been a consistent offensive force, averaging 17.5 points over his last four contests. They will face a Stetson squad (8-15) looking to rebound from a narrow 68-66 home loss to North Alabama, also on Saturday. The Hatters have dropped four of their last five games. The matchup features a compelling duel between two of the league’s top scorers. Stetson’s Collin Kuhl is coming off a 23-point, 8-rebound performance against North Alabama and has been dominant, posting five double-doubles in his last ten games. His recent stretch includes a 22-point, 14-rebound effort in an overtime loss at Lipscomb. Bellarmine will counter with Karasinski, who has scored 18 or more points in three of his last four outings. Guard Kenyon Goodin, who added 16 points in the win over Queens, provides backcourt balance. Both teams have shown offensive potency but have struggled for consistency. Bellarmine’s last three home games have been decided by four points or fewer, including an overtime win. Stetson’s recent road trip featured an overtime loss and a seven-point win at North Florida. The Knights won both meetings last season. Thursday’s result will be crucial for positioning ahead of the ASUN tournament next month. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
