Preview: Syracuse at North Carolina State RALEIGH, N.C. (Interstat) — Two Atlantic Coast Conference teams on contrasting trajectories will meet Tuesday when the North Carolina State Wolfpack hosts the Syracuse Orange at Lenovo Center. The Wolfpack (14-6) enter with momentum, having won four of their last five, including an 81-72 road victory at Pittsburgh on Saturday. Forward Ven-Allen Lubin has been a force, averaging a double-double over his last three games. He posted 17 points and 12 rebounds against the Panthers, following a 22-point effort in an overtime win at Clemson. Conversely, Syracuse (11-8) looks to halt a three-game skid. The Orange fell 85-76 to Miami at home Saturday, their third consecutive loss by single digits. Guard Naithan George led Syracuse with 13 points and five assists in the defeat. George has been a key facilitator, dishing 13 assists in a win over Florida State on Jan. 13, but the Orange have struggled to close games recently. The matchup pits Syracuse’s perimeter attack, led by George, against a physical NC State frontcourt anchored by Lubin. The Wolfpack have shown explosive scoring potential, most notably in a 113-69 rout of Florida State earlier this month. Syracuse holds a slim 11-10 edge in the all-time series, but NC State has won three of the last five meetings. The teams last played on Feb. 20, 2025, a 77-65 Wolfpack victory in Raleigh. For Syracuse, reversing their recent fortunes will require improved late-game execution and containing Lubin inside. NC State aims to protect its home court and solidify its standing in the ACC hierarchy. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
