Preview: Arkansas at Oklahoma Set for SEC Clash NORMAN, Okla. (Interstat) — A surging Arkansas team riding a four-game winning streak will face a reeling Oklahoma squad desperate to stop a five-game skid when the Razorbacks visit the Sooners on Tuesday night at Lloyd Noble Center. The Southeastern Conference matchup features teams heading in opposite directions. Arkansas (15-5) has won seven of its last eight, including an 85-81 victory over LSU last Saturday. Oklahoma (11-8) has lost five straight, the latest a heartbreaking 88-87 overtime defeat at Missouri. The Razorbacks are powered by the dynamic play of guard Darius Acuff Jr., who is averaging 22.1 points and 6.4 assists per game. He is coming off a 31-point, six-assist performance against LSU and has scored 20 or more points in six of his last eight contests. His backcourt leadership has been the catalyst for an Arkansas offense averaging 89.2 points per game during its current win streak. Oklahoma will counter with guard Nijel Pack, who scored 25 points in the loss to Missouri. Pack averages 14.8 points per game but the Sooners have struggled defensively during their losing streak, allowing an average of 87.2 points per game. Arkansas’s success has been built on high-octane offense, having scored 93 or more points in three of its last four wins. Oklahoma, meanwhile, has kept its last three losses within single digits but has repeatedly failed to secure late stops. The game is a critical one for postseason positioning. Arkansas looks to solidify its standing as a conference contender, while Oklahoma seeks a season-altering win to reverse its January fortunes. The Sooners will need to find an answer for Acuff and slow the Razorbacks’ transition game to have a chance at home. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. CST. Arkansas will host Kentucky next Saturday, while Oklahoma will face Texas.
