The Spartans (16-2) have ascended to national contender status, while the Ducks (8-10) are searching for consistency in conference play. Michigan State arrives after an authoritative 80-63 road victory at Washington on Saturday. The Spartans have not lost since a two-point setback at Nebraska on Jan. 2, winning their last five by an average margin of 18.2 points. Oregon is coming off a 71-81 home loss to Michigan, its fourth consecutive defeat. The Ducks have struggled defensively during the slump, allowing an average of 82.8 points per game. A key matchup will feature Michigan State’s dynamic guard Jeremy Fears against Oregon’s forward Sean Stewart.
