Preview of Tuesday’s Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Game KNAPP CREEK, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Saint Bonaventure Bonnies will look to halt a five-game skid when they host the struggling Loyola Chicago Ramblers in an Atlantic 10 Conference matchup Tuesday night at the Reilly Center. Saint Bonaventure (11-7, 0-5 A-10) has stumbled after a strong non-conference start, with all five league losses coming by single digits. Their most recent was a 78-74 defeat at La Salle on Saturday. The Bonnies have relied heavily on forward Frank Mitchell, who is averaging 19.3 points and 6.0 rebounds over his last six games. He scored 26 points with 7 rebounds and 4 assists against the Explorers. Loyola Chicago (5-14, 1-5) enters on a five-game losing streak of its own, most recently a 78-51 road loss at Dayton last Friday. The Ramblers have struggled offensively, failing to reach 70 points in four of their five conference losses. Guard Kymany Houinsou has been a bright spot, averaging 10.5 points, 5.2 assists and 4.5 rebounds over the last six contests. The Bonnies have dominated the recent series, winning the last three meetings. They defeated the Ramblers 79-64 in their only matchup last season. For Saint Bonaventure, finding consistent support for Mitchell is critical. Dasonte Bowen is coming off a 10-assist performance at La Salle. Loyola Chicago will need more production from its frontcourt, including Miles Rubin, who led the team with 14 points against Dayton, to complement Houinsou’s all-around play. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST. Saint Bonaventure will host Saint Louis on Friday, while Loyola Chicago returns home to face Duquesne on Saturday.
