Preview: Boise State at Wyoming in Mountain West Clash BOSLER, Wyo. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to steady their conference footing will meet Tuesday night when the Boise State Broncos visit the Wyoming Cowboys at Arena-Auditorium. The Mountain West matchup features squads with nearly identical records. Wyoming (11-7 overall) holds a slight edge over Boise State (10-8), but both have experienced recent struggles in league play. The Broncos arrive after snapping a four-game skid with a 79-73 home victory over Colorado State on Friday. Guard Dylan Andrews led the way with 21 points, continuing a run of strong offensive performances. Over his last six games, Andrews is averaging 15.8 points, including a 21-point effort against the Rams and a 16-point, six-assist outing in a triple-overtime loss at San Diego State on Jan. 3. Wyoming, however, aims to rebound on its home floor after two consecutive losses. The Cowboys fell 63-60 at Fresno State on Saturday, following a 74-57 home defeat to San Diego State. Guard Leland Walker has been a consistent bright spot, scoring in double figures in six straight games. He erupted for 28 points in just 24 minutes in a 98-66 rout of UNLV on Jan. 6 and posted 17 points and five assists in the recent loss to Fresno State. The Cowboys have shown a stark home/road split. Their three most recent wins have all come in Bosler, including the dominant victory over UNLV and nonconference wins over South Dakota and Dartmouth. Protecting home court will be paramount against a Boise State team that has found wins hard to secure away from home, with its last road victory coming at Butler on Dec. 6. Tuesday’s contest is the first of two regular-season meetings between the programs this season. They will meet again in Boise on Feb. 24. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. MST Tuesday at Wyoming’s Arena-Auditorium.
