Preview: Seattle Redhawks at Oregon State Beavers CORVALLIS, Ore. (Interstat) — The Seattle Redhawks look to rebound from a pair of tough road losses when they visit the Oregon State Beavers in a nonconference men’s basketball matchup Thursday afternoon at Gill Coliseum. Seattle (12-5) enters on a two-game skid, falling 80-72 in overtime at Gonzaga on Jan. 2 before a 93-76 defeat at Saint Mary’s on Sunday. The Redhawks had won five straight prior to that. Oregon State (8-9) has also struggled recently, dropping three of its last four, including an 81-67 loss at Washington State on Sunday. The Beavers are 6-3 at home this season. The game features a key matchup between two standout guards. Seattle’s Jun Seok Yeo is coming off a career-high 24 points in the loss to Saint Mary’s. Over his last seven games, the sophomore is averaging 12.9 points per contest and has scored in double figures in five of those outings. He will be countered by Oregon State’s Dez White, who leads the Beavers in scoring during Pac-12 play. White is averaging 12.3 points over his last six games, including a 16-point performance at Washington State. Seattle’s offense runs through Yeo and forward Will Heimbrodt, who posted 19 points and five blocks against Saint Mary’s. The Redhawks have shown resilience in close games, with three of their last six wins coming by three points or fewer. Oregon State seeks more consistency after a 102-64 home loss to Santa Clara on Dec. 28 was followed by a road win at Arizona State three days later. The Beavers are allowing 75.9 points per game overall. This is the first meeting between the programs since 2019. They are scheduled to play again in Seattle on Feb. 15. For Seattle, this begins a stretch of four road games out of their next five. Oregon State continues a homestand before traveling to Portland on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. PST.
