Tigers, Tribe Set for Colonial Athletic Association Clash WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Interstat) — A matchup of teams riding momentum opens the Colonial Athletic Association schedule as the Towson Tigers visit the William & Mary Tribe on Monday night at Kaplan Arena. Towson (8-5) enters having won two straight, including a dominant 107-60 victory over Notre Dame and a 72-47 win against Sacred Heart last Monday. The Tigers have shown a high-powered offense at home but struggled in road losses at Kansas and UCF earlier this month. William & Mary (9-3) has won four of its last five, most recently a 96-83 home win over Radford on Dec. 18 where the Tribe shot 56% from the field. Their non-conference slate includes a notable road win at UTEP and a tight loss at Richmond. A key battle will feature Towson forward Jack Doumbia against William & Mary guard Kyle Pulliam. Doumbia is coming off a 17-point, 7-rebound performance against Sacred Heart and has scored in double figures in three of his last five games. Pulliam erupted for 22 points in the win over Radford, showcasing his scoring punch for the Tribe. In Towson’s latest win, Tyler Tejada scored 22 points and Dylan Williamson added 17 points and 7 assists alongside Doumbia’s effort. For William & Mary, Reese Miller (17 points) and Chase Lowe (12 points, 4 assists) provided strong support against Radford. The Tigers have relied on a balanced attack, while the Tribe has proven efficient on offense, averaging 84.2 points per game. William & Mary will look to protect its home court, where it is 5-1 this season. Towson aims to carry its recent home success into its first true conference test on the road. This game marks the conference opener for both programs. Towson visits Hampton on Wednesday, while William & Mary hosts Stony Brook on New Year’s Eve.
