San Diego (5-6) is coming off an 82-80 road victory over UC San Diego on Friday. Washington (7-4) looks to rebound from a 66-70 loss at Seattle on the same night. The game features a compelling backcourt duel between two high-scoring guards. San Diego’s Ty-Laur Johnson enters in peak form, averaging 21.4 points over his last five games. He poured in 23 points and dished seven assists in Friday’s win. For the Huskies, Desmond Claude has been a consistent offensive force, leading the team with 24 points in the loss to Seattle. Claude is averaging 17.2 points per game in his last five outings. The Toreros have found momentum after a slow start, winning consecutive games for the first time this season. Their offense runs through Johnson, who gets support from Toneari Lane (17 points Friday) and Adrian McIntyre.
