ST. LOUIS (Interstat) β A surging Saint Louis squad will look to continue its dominant non-conference play when it hosts struggling New Hampshire in a menβs NCAA Division I basketball game Sunday at Chaifetz Arena. The Billikens (10-1) have won five straight since their only loss, a 78-77 defeat to Stanford on Nov. 28, and are coming off a 112-53 rout of Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday. Saint Louis has scored 85 or more points in seven games this season, showcasing a potent offense. Guard Trey Green has been a key catalyst, averaging 15.4 points per game. He is coming off a 19-point performance in just 22 minutes against Bethune-Cookman and dropped 23 points in a win at Loyola Marymount on Dec. 2. New Hampshire (4-7) arrives after snapping a three-game skid with a narrow 59-58 home win over Stonehill on Wednesday. The Wildcats have struggled on the road, going 1-5, with their lone win coming in overtime against Boston University on Dec. 6. Forward Comeh Emuobor leads the Wildcats, coming off a 12-point effort against Stonehill. He scored a season-high 15 points in a one-point loss at Dartmouth on Dec. 3. The matchup presents a stark contrast in momentum. Saint Louis has won its home games by an average margin of 36.2 points. New Hampshire has faced offensive challenges, scoring 68 or fewer points in six of its seven losses, including a 38-point output in a season-opening loss at Clemson. For Saint Louis, this game serves as a final tune-up before Atlantic 10 Conference play begins in January. New Hampshire seeks a signature road upset before embarking on its America East schedule next month. Following this game, Saint Louis will host Principia on Dec. 28. New Hampshire travels to face Nebraska on Dec. 30. Tip-off is set for Sunday afternoon.
