ALBANY, N.Y. (Interstat) — A surging Siena Saints squad will look to extend its winning streak when it hosts the Canisius Golden Griffins in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men’s basketball matchup Sunday at Times Union Center. The Saints (7-2) enter on a five-game win streak, most recently grinding out a 64-60 road victory at Maine on Nov. 30. Forward Gavin Doty has been instrumental, posting a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in that contest. Over the last five games, Doty is averaging 13.2 points and 6.8 rebounds, providing consistent production for a Siena team that has found its rhythm after early losses to Saint Bonaventure and Colgate. Canisius (4-4) seeks to rebound from a 71-53 home loss to Buffalo on Nov. 29.
