BROOKINGS, S.D. (Interstat) — Two teams riding the momentum of decisive midweek victories will meet Saturday when the Idaho Vandals visit the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in a nonconference men’s basketball game. The Vandals (5-3) and Jackrabbits (5-4) will tip off at Frost Arena. Idaho is coming off a 90-58 rout of North Dakota on Wednesday, powered by a career-high 26 points from guard Isaiah Brickner in just 17 minutes. Biko Johnson added 12 points and six assists for a Vandals squad that has won three of its last four. South Dakota State also won Wednesday, defeating Northern Arizona 75-62 on the road. Joe Sayler led the way with 20 points. The victory snapped a two-game skid for the Jackrabbits. Both teams have shown high-scoring potential this season. Idaho averages 77.6 points per game, while South Dakota State averages 72.2. The Vandals’ three losses have come by an average of just over 10 points. This matchup begins a challenging stretch for both programs. Idaho travels to face Notre Dame on Dec. 10. South Dakota State hits the road to play Ball State on Dec. 9.
