FARGO, N.D. (Interstat) — North Dakota State looks to build on a quality road win when it hosts Northern Arizona in a nonconference men’s basketball game Saturday at Scheels Arena. The Bison (6-3) are coming off an 81-72 victory at Montana on Wednesday. Damari Wheeler-Thomas led the way with 23 points and five assists, while Trevian Carson added 15 points. North Dakota State has won four of its last five games. Northern Arizona (4-3) aims to rebound after a 75-62 home loss to South Dakota State on Wednesday. Arne Osojnik scored 16 points in that defeat, and Zack Davidson added 11. The Lumberjacks had previously won three straight games, including a 79-72 victory over Southeast Missouri State on Nov. 26. Saturday’s contest is the first meeting between the programs since 2019. It concludes a two-game road swing for Northern Arizona, which plays at Arizona State next Tuesday. North Dakota State travels to Cal State Bakersfield next Thursday.
