MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — A surging Robert Morris team will look to extend its winning streak when it visits a struggling Milwaukee squad in a Horizon League men’s basketball matchup on Saturday. The Colonials (7-3) have won five straight games, including an 80-78 road victory at Green Bay on Thursday. They will face the Panthers (3-5), who have lost four of their last five and are coming off a 105-81 defeat at Akron on Nov. 29. Robert Morris has found momentum behind a balanced attack and the consistent play of forward DeSean Goode. Over his last five games, Goode is averaging 14.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per contest. He scored 18 points in Thursday’s win. Milwaukee will counter with forward Danilo Jovanovich, its leading scorer in three of the last four games. Jovanovich is averaging 16.6 points over his last five outings, including a 21-point performance against Akron. The Panthers have faced a tough early schedule, with four of their five losses coming on the road against high-major opponents Indiana and Texas Tech, along with mid-major powers Wichita State and Akron. Their defense will be tested by a Robert Morris offense that has scored 80 or more points in four of its last five wins. This game marks the Horizon League opener for both teams. The venue is UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. The teams will meet again in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, on Jan. 22. Tipoff is set for Saturday afternoon.
