MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Interstat) — The No. [Rank] Baylor Bears, off to a strong start, will face a struggling Memphis Tigers squad at FedExForum on Saturday. Baylor (6-1) arrives with momentum after a 110-88 home victory over Sacramento State on Tuesday. The Bears’ offense was powered by Tounde Yessoufou (27 points), Cameron Carr (25 points) and Michael Rataj (18 points, 4 assists). Their only loss came on the road against Saint John’s. Memphis (3-4) snapped a four-game skid with an 86-70 win over New Orleans on Wednesday. Quante Berry scored 17 points and Dug McDaniel posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists for the Tigers, who are 3-1 at home this season. The game represents a significant nonconference test for Memphis, which has faced a tough early schedule. Baylor, which has won its last two road games, will look to continue its efficient play before entering Big 12 Conference action next month. Following this contest, Baylor will host Norfolk State on Dec. 10. Memphis will travel to face Louisville on Dec. 13. Tipoff is scheduled for [Time] CT on Saturday, Dec. 6.
