INDIANAPOLIS (Interstat) — Horizon League rivals Youngstown State and IU Indy meet Saturday at Fairgrounds Coliseum, with the visiting Penguins looking to continue a positive start against the struggling Jaguars. Youngstown State (5-4) enters with momentum following a 69-68 home win over Wright State on Wednesday. Cris Carroll led the Penguins with 19 points in that victory, supported by Bryson Dawkins (13 points) and Rich Rolf (10 points). The Penguins have won three of their last four games. IU Indy (3-7) seeks to end a two-game skid after a 92-78 road loss at Detroit on Wednesday. The Jaguars have been competitive offensively but have surrendered 98 or more points in four of their losses this season. Jaxon Edwards and Kameron Tinsley each scored 14 points against Detroit, with Finley Woodward adding eight points and seven assists. The matchup features contrasting early-season trajectories. Youngstown State has fared well on its home court but is 1-3 in road games. IU Indy holds a 2-2 record at home this season and will play its first Horizon League home game of the campaign.
