The Falcons (6-2) enter on a high note after an impressive 82-66 road victory over Kansas State on Monday. Senior guard Sam Towns powered that win with a season-high 27 points, continuing a standout stretch. Over his last five games, Towns is averaging 16.8 points and 7.6 rebounds, including an 18-rebound performance at VMI on Nov. 26. Utah Valley (5-3) looks to bounce back from a 77-66 loss at San Diego State on Wednesday. The Wolverines have shown a potent offense, averaging 84.6 points in their five wins, but have struggled defensively in their three defeats, allowing an average of 84.3 points. The matchup features a compelling backcourt duel between Towns and Utah Valley’s Jackson Holcombe. The Wolverines’ guard is a dynamic all-around threat, coming off a 17-point, 5-assist effort against the Aztecs. Holcombe has scored in double figures in six of eight games this season, including a 21-point outing in a win over Samford. Bowling Green’s strength has been its balanced attack, with Javon Ruffin and Javontae Campbell each adding 17 points in the win at Kansas State.
