ALBANY, N.Y. (Interstat) — A surging Siena team will look to extend its winning streak when it hosts struggling Niagara in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Friday at Times Union Center. The Saints (7-2) enter on a four-game win streak, most recently edging Maine 64-60 on Sunday. Gavin Doty posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in that victory, while Francis Folefac added 12 points. The Purple Eagles (2-5) have dropped four of their last five, including a 70-66 home loss to Detroit on Saturday. Justin Page led Niagara with 15 points in the defeat, with Reggie Prudhomme adding 11 points and four assists. Siena, which opened MAAC play with a 73-63 win over Albany on Nov. 21, has been strong at home this season. Niagara, seeking its first road win, has faced a challenging early schedule with losses at Duke, Duquesne and VCU already on its ledger. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Siena is a 14-point favorite. The over/under is 131.5 points. Following this matchup, Siena will host Canisius on Sunday. Niagara continues its road swing at Saint Peter’s on Sunday.
