JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Interstat) — A surging South Alabama men’s basketball team will put its 8-1 record on the line when it visits East Tennessee State on Friday night at the ETSU Athletic Center. The Jaguars have won four straight, including a 77-75 home victory over New Mexico State on Tuesday. Adam Olsen scored 21 points in that win, while Peyton Law added 18 points and three blocks, and Chaze Harris contributed 17 points. South Alabama’s only loss came at UAB on Nov. 21. The Buccaneers (6-2) are looking to rebound after an 88-71 road loss at Dayton on Tuesday. Cam Morris scored 19 points and Brian Taylor added 16 points and five assists in that defeat. ETSU is 4-0 at home this season, with an average margin of victory of 37.5 points in those contests. Friday’s game represents a final non-conference test for both teams before heavier league schedules begin later in December. The matchup features two of the nation’s more efficient offenses in the early season.
