Undefeated Utah State Faces South Florida in Nonconference Test TAMPA, Fla. (Interstat) — The unbeaten Utah State Aggies put their perfect record on the line Thursday night against the South Florida Bulls in a nonconference men’s basketball matchup at the Sun Dome. Utah State (7-0) arrives in Florida following a hard-fought 84-81 overtime victory over Montana State on Saturday. Guard MJ Collins led the Aggies with 23 points in that win, while Mason Falslev added 17 points. The Aggies’ strong start includes double-digit road wins at Davidson and Tulane. South Florida (4-4) looks to rebound from an 83-68 home loss to Colorado State last Friday. Adriel Nyorha paced the Bulls in that contest with 14 points and six assists. The Bulls have shown offensive capability, scoring 97 points in an overtime win at Western Kentucky, but have struggled for consistency. The Aggies, averaging 84.4 points per game, present a significant challenge for a South Florida defense allowing 83.6 points on average. Utah State’s early schedule has featured three true road wins. This game marks the first meeting between the programs. Following this contest, Utah State visits Charlotte on Sunday. South Florida hosts the College of Charleston on Dec. 10.
