KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to build momentum will meet Wednesday when the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles visit the Western Michigan Broncos in a nonconference men’s basketball game. Both teams enter University Arena with 3-5 records. Southern Indiana is coming off a dominant 93-56 home victory over Kentucky State on Saturday. Ola Ajiboye led the way with 10 points, eight rebounds and five blocks, while Kaden Brown scored 20 points and Ismail Habib added 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Western Michigan seeks a rebound after a 84-55 road loss to Valparaiso on Saturday. Trey Lewis scored 13 points off the bench to pace the Broncos in that defeat. The Screaming Eagles have won two of their last three, including a road win at Valparaiso on Nov. 26. The Broncos have dropped three of their last four, with their lone win in that stretch an 83-60 victory over Mount Saint Mary’s. This is the first scheduled meeting between the programs. Southern Indiana visits Indiana State on Sunday. Western Michigan travels to SIU Edwardsville on Saturday.
