ORAL ROBERTS AT WEBER STATE OGDEN, Utah (Interstat) — Two teams looking to steady their early-season momentum will meet Wednesday when the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles visit the Weber State Wildcats in a nonconference men’s basketball game at the Dee Events Center. Oral Roberts (3-6) arrives after a 62-81 road loss to Rice on Nov. 26. Connor Dow led the Golden Eagles in that defeat with 19 points and five rebounds. The team has lost four of its last five, with the lone win an 91-83 home victory over Kennesaw State on Nov. 25. Weber State (3-4) is coming off an 82-61 home win over Missouri-Kansas City on Saturday. Viljami Vartiainen scored a team-high 17 points in the victory, which snapped a two-game skid for the Wildcats. Both squads have faced challenging early schedules. Oral Roberts’ six losses include road defeats to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Weber State’s four losses have come by an average of just 7.5 points, including an overtime loss at Utah. The game marks the front end of a two-game homestand for Weber State before it hits the road again. Oral Roberts continues a stretch of four road games out of five. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. MST Wednesday.
