CONWAY, Ark. (Interstat) — Two Arkansas programs seeking momentum will meet Wednesday when the Central Arkansas Bears host the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans at the Farris Center. Both teams enter with losing records. The Trojans (2-5) have dropped four of their last five, including a 74-65 loss at Southern Illinois on Saturday. Johnathan Lawson led UALR in that game with 16 points and 10 assists, while Kachi Nzeh added 17 points. The Bears (3-5) are also looking to rebound from a road defeat, falling 80-57 at East Tennessee State on Saturday. Camren Hunter and Luke Moore combined for 23 points in the loss. Central Arkansas has found success at home this season, winning two of three games in Conway. Arkansas-Little Rock, however, is still searching for its first true road win, having gone 0-4 away from home. The in-state matchup offers both teams a chance to steady their seasons before conference play begins next month.
