SAN FRANCISCO (Interstat) — The San Francisco Dons look to rebound from a pair of losses when they host the North Alabama Lions in a nonconference men’s basketball game Wednesday afternoon at War Memorial Gymnasium. San Francisco (5-3) returns home after dropping games to Colorado and Nevada at the Las Vegas Holiday Classic last week. Forward David Fuchs is coming off a 16-point, nine-rebound performance in the 81-65 loss to Nevada. North Alabama (4-4) arrives with momentum after a 73-66 road win at Jacksonville State on Monday. Donte Bacchus led the Lions with 19 points in that victory, while Corneilous Williams added 17 points and Canin Jefferson scored 16. The Lions have shown resilience, with three of their four wins coming in games decided by six points or fewer, including an overtime victory. However, they are 0-3 in true road games this season, with losses at Mississippi State, Clemson and Chattanooga. The Dons are 3-0 at home this season, winning those contests by an average of 27.7 points. This is the first-ever meeting between the programs. San Francisco travels to face Mississippi State on Sunday. North Alabama’s next game is at Alabama A&M on Dec. 15.
