The Utah Valley Wolverines (5-2) have won four straight, including a dominant 89-45 victory over Samford last Wednesday. Jackson Holcombe led the way with 21 points in that win. The San Diego State Aztecs (3-3), meanwhile, have dropped three of their last four. They are coming off a 91-81 home loss to Baylor last Wednesday, despite 13 points from Miles Byrd. Utah Valley’s early success has been fueled by strong defense, holding three opponents under 60 points. San Diego State seeks consistency after a blowout loss to Michigan and a double-overtime defeat to Troy during its recent skid. This is the first meeting between the programs.
