VERMILLION, S.D. (Interstat) — The Portland State Vikings look to extend their winning streak when they visit the South Dakota Coyotes in a nonconference men’s basketball game Wednesday at DakotaDome. Portland State (4-2) enters on a three-game win streak, most recently beating Utah Tech 68-63 on Nov. 25. Jaylin Henderson paced that win with 10 points and eight assists, while Terri Miller added 19 points off the bench. South Dakota (5-3) is coming off an 80-63 home victory over Air Force on Nov. 29, led by Isaac Bruns’ 22 points. The Coyotes are 4-0 at home this season, with their lone DakotaDome loss last season coming in overtime against Utah Tech — the same team Portland State just defeated. The Vikings have shown a high-powered offense, scoring 90 or more points in three games this season. South Dakota’s defense, allowing an average of 73.6 points, will be tested. This is the final home game for South Dakota before a three-game road stretch. Portland State continues a road swing before hosting Omaha on Dec. 6. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. EST Wednesday.
