FAIRLAWN, Va. (Interstat) — The Radford Highlanders will look to build on their most impressive win of the season when they host the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles in a nonconference men’s basketball game Wednesday. Radford (3-6) is coming off a stunning 102-75 rout of Notre Dame on Saturday. Mari Jordan led the way with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Dennis Parker added 19 points. The Highlanders’ offense, which had struggled at times this season, erupted for its highest point total of the year. Southern Miss (4-3) enters on a two-game winning streak, including a 70-60 victory over Tennessee-Martin on Nov. 23. Tylik Weeks and Djahi Binet each scored 14 points in that win. The Golden Eagles have shown a potent offense, scoring 82 or more points in four of their wins, but are 0-3 in road games this season. The matchup pits Radford’s momentum against Southern Miss’s quest for its first true road victory. The game will be played at the D.N. Dedmon Center. After this contest, Southern Miss travels to face Miami (Fla.) on Saturday. Radford hosts Saint Francis (Pa.) on Sunday.
