BOZEMAN, Mont. (Interstat) β The Saint Thomas Tommies look to extend their winning streak when they visit the Montana State Bobcats in a nonconference menβs basketball game Wednesday night. Saint Thomas (6-3) has won three straight, including an 87-52 rout of Lawrence on Saturday. Carter Bjerke led the way with 18 points in that victory. The Tommies are 2-2 in true road games this season. Montana State (3-5) is seeking consistency after a narrow 84-81 overtime loss at Utah State on Saturday. Patrick McMahon scored a career-high 26 points in the defeat. The Bobcats are 1-1 at home, with their lone win at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse a 114-44 blowout of Northwest Indian College on Nov. 5. The Tommies have balanced scoring, with three players averaging double figures. Montana State relies heavily on McMahon, who averages a team-leading 17.9 points per game. This is the first meeting between the programs. Saint Thomas, in its fifth season at the Division I level, will open Summit League play next month. Montana State begins Big Sky Conference play on Jan. 1. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. MST Wednesday at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
