CALDWELL, Idaho (Interstat) — The Idaho Vandals look to rebound from a blowout loss when they host the struggling North Dakota Fighting Hawks in a nonconference men’s basketball game Wednesday. Idaho (4-3) is returning home after a 94-68 defeat to Sam Houston last Friday. Jack Payne led the Vandals with 14 points in the loss. Their season includes a notable 83-81 road win at Washington State on Nov. 3. North Dakota (3-6) seeks to end a two-game skid, most recently a 92-55 loss at Hawaii on Nov. 28. Greyson Uelmen scored 19 points in that contest. The Fighting Hawks’ three wins have come against Mayville State, UC Riverside and Western Illinois. The Vandals have been stronger defensively at home, while the Fighting Hawks have struggled on the road, with all six losses coming away from Grand Forks. Tipoff is set for Wednesday night at Idaho Central Credit Union Arena.
