EVANSVILLE, Ind. (Interstat) β€” Two teams seeking momentum will meet when the Ball State Cardinals visit the Evansville Purple Aces in a nonconference men’s basketball game Wednesday at Ford Center. Both teams enter with identical 3-5 records. Ball State snapped a four-game skid with a 96-85 home win over Le Moyne on Sunday. Preston Copeland posted a double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds, while Juwan Maxey scored a game-high 27 points and Davion Hill added 24. Evansville has dropped three straight, most recently a 78-59 loss to College of Charleston on Nov. 24. Connor Turnbull led the Purple Aces with 18 points and three blocks in that contest. Their last win was a 73-69 road victory at Oregon State on Nov. 21. The Cardinals have struggled away from home, going 0-4 in true road games this season. Evansville is 2-2 at Ford Center.
